Default ******* Widening RC4WD yota axle *******

Hi, is it possible to solder or weld rc4wd axle? What is it made out of? Pewter? Plz help.

Chinese pot-metal. My buddies housing exloded on the trail a couple weeks ago, and Youtube user "RcSparks" had one grenade on him too. Not saying they are bad axles by any means.. its just some batches are softer than others when produced Im assuming.. there are much better axles in the aftermarket. Even Rc4wd offers a 60 style axle as an upgrade to their yota 44..

Some type of pot-metal would be my guess too, probably not weldable, maybe silver solder would stick but don't know anybody who has tried.
