Skidplate I have the scx10.2 one. Have yet to install it. I’m a bit hesitant due to the fact in how much it raises the transmission. In addition, I would have to cut out more material from the back panel of my hilux. Also, i would figure you would want the weight of the tranny down lower rather than higher. Just not sure the benefits of a small bit of clearance you’d gain is worth it. Still on the fence at this point. |
Re: Skidplate Not sure about an scx2, but if you install this skid on an scx without adding a way to raise/relocate the frame side of the upper links wouldn't you end up with literally 0 vertical seperation of the links at the frame side? Usually that's not the hot setup and makes for an unstable truck while adding a ton of stress to the links/rod ends. Maybe useful with link relocation brackets, or aftermarket chassis? Looks similar to what is recommended for the GMRC Drag Queen chassis, which works very well. |
