Light scale rigs suspension and foam set ups.

I need some input to set up a very light truck right.

The truck has a very short wheelbase (10.5), I really like the challenge of trying to make this thing works.
I can't complain too much about it, for its size the performance are pretty amazing, especially in very technical spots, climbing is a bit of an issue but I'm sure it could be improved with the right suspension set up and foam

Here are the specs
- Chassis: SCX10.2, mostly stock besides aluminum shorter links, a G10 SWB chassis, brass knuckles, I tried to keep as many parts plastic...
- Weight: I would say it's 4 Lb max
- Tires: Pitbull Rock Beast with Pitbull foams on Incision plastic wheels
- Electronics: 2200 3S battery with SW4 and Revolver V2 Snubnose
- Suspensions: Dravtech shocks with Losi Mini T springs (black front and pink rear), AE 15WT oil all around, rear VP Antirocks (they do help a bit tame the rear end while climbing). When it sits, there's maybe 80% droop front and 50% rear, shocks are same length and use the same mounting positions front and rear

Build thread: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/1-9-s...core-sami.html

Again, I'm really happy with its performances, i was not expecting to follow comp or even C3 rigs with this thing.
I feel that the rear suspensions are pretty stiff, also sits maybe too high.
As for the foams, C.I. makes a few for this particular tire but they all seem too hard for the light weight application.

Thanks in advance for your input.

You can cut some of the foam out to make it softer.

My barrage works really well on stock memory foam in the Axial ripsaws. Springs are a bit soft, but Axial scx springs fit, but a bit loose

My suspension set up is pretty close to this, I just ordered some Hyrax with the same foams, I believe (https://www.amainhobbies.com/crawler...r-2034/p638324) Looks like you're shaving half of the foams' outer diameter.

I have a similarly light Axial RBK that's dialed now after much trial and error.

Traxxas GTS shocks with red plunger upgrade, 15w Losi oil, white Axial springs up front and green in the rear. Main thing is the very light oil.

Right now I'm experimenting with running Deuces wild soft option foams and vented tires, with just the inner closed-cell foam and not the outer ring. Seems to be working well.
