HPI "Ironman" theme on trx4 sport
 

After an ECX barrage and Barrage gen2 I've stepped up building a trx4 sport kit. In search of a paint scheme I came across the HPI Toyota "Ironman". Though this Baja winner obviously has nothing to do with crawling, I still very much fancy its colour scheme and lines.

I am wondering if anyone here has done a theme like this on a crawler. And is willing to share some pics.

Mine is taped and ready to get the masking cut. Putting white letters on red and black on white. Will baptise it to Toyota Ishi. Ishi meaning Stones in Japanese. Referring to the Stones logo that is set out on the roof. Special request from my ten year old...

I'm running the actual cab of the HPI trophy truck on my Twin Hammers and it looks great. Looks pretty scale in my opinion, especially when all my rigs are together.

Found the build video. Thanks hillbilly. What I had in mind was not so much what he shows in his video, but more what he has standing on his bookshelf, left side of his head at 30-35s :)

I don't have a video of it specifically but I can get one soon. I have this random slow-mo my TRX4 jumping over it. Shows a bit of the side/angled profile.

No problem! If I haven't already bashed it into oblivion, I've and gone ahead and mounted it onto my Gen7 along with the rear fenders to get a full scale truck out of it. But it's too late now.

I've been rattling some spray cans yesterday and oh my godess, Hemistorm makes those spray jobs look so easy...

Overall for my first more complex paint job I am quite happy. Nice learning experience. Now know what to do different next time.

Yep, hemistorm does great painting. He definitely makes it all look easy. He can paint me a body anyday.
