Default Headlight lens help

Ok have a body being 3d printed to do a scale hars body build. Only thing neither of us could find is headlight "lens" file.

Trying to get some ideas on how to make them. One idea was clear "resin" poured into the buckets in the rough desired shape then sand and polish to shape.

I know polycarbonate can be a pain in the rear and dont have a vacuum set up nor am I going to go through getting one for just 2 1/10 and 2 1/8 scale headlight lens.

Anyone have any ways that have worked for them???

Clear resin seems like a good idea. Perhaps, if possible, pick up a parts tree from a Tamiya kit and sand some lenses down to size.

I don't think they'll have anything that would work for a gen 3 Tacoma body sadly.

Just applied epoxy (resin) directly to the part to make marker light lenses. Applied a drop and used to wet the area the lenses need to occupy. The surface tension smooths the lenses out before it hardens.

The more complex the shape the more difficult this method it would be.

I like resin idea, I imagine it would double as "glue" to hold the bulbs in.

At least with a gen 3 Tacoma the light lenses all appear to be sharp, straight lines. I don't imagine it would be too difficult to sculpt them to the right shape.
