| Expedition XMOD Proj-I (5/15/07)
Ok guys, I really got into the 4x4 rigs and crawlers so i've decided to make a couple of them starting with a Ford Expedition. This one will be done pretty soon and but i'm not sure i'm not sure what type of motor i'll install just yet, Idk if I might use neo-mags in a stage 2 motor or if i'll use the servo swap mod again. Anyways, here's a couple pics of the projects on hand plus the Expedition ( Project I - 1 of 3): ^^^ Expedition on top, '75 Chevy Blazer in middle, and another GMC truck on bottom - all three 4x4 truck projects. Here's the Expedition:>> Custom swivel joint that extends the chasis also>>> The body haven't be mounted on the chasis yet - the top pics was just a mock set up. More updates to come soon! Okay , it's now mounted with lights and all, I just have to add the side bars and paint the orange chasis parts black along with the battery cover too. I have the entire interior part installed and I did a mock front suspension look to the front wheel wells. If you notice also, I got rid of the flames - dirt got stuck on the edges and it looked a bit weird after I remove it so I guess it's gonna stay all black now. Here's the pics so far: That's it for now but a few more updated pics will be posted as soon as I finish the last details on it |

Nice , so you ended running the stage 2 motor? what gearing? i have my f 150 with 4wd and lift kit, and haven installed the stage 2, as i was very dissapointed that the stock motor would barely move the truck:-( .

Same here, it can't crawl over anything with stock motor and gearing. Although what did i expect, it is the hummer. |

Thanks for the comments guys! I haven't put any new motor in yet but my plans are to upgrade to stage2 with neo-mag and the high torgue gearing ( orange tip gears). Anyways, the stock motor does sux and can barely do anything indeed. I just started some work on my Blazer and I also just got a Bronco from only which i'll add to this group project as soon as I get it. Here a pic of the Bronco : This one will be a trail rig also and might get the servo motor mod installed on a new chasis that i'm expecting in the mail also. More stuff to come soon |
