Default most realistic looking coilovers?

something youd see on a rock buggy, PS rig, or a built TJ
most RC shocks are too large diameter.
can be resevor or not. would like something shorter than 4" (prefer around 3"-3.5")
bought or homemade.

any ideas

I might still have a set of TLT's turned down with the lip left on em. I can check when I get home tonight.
Then run a spring to the lip.

Have you seen these?

http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=83774

They look skinnier than the average shock...

those are nice pieces. although they dont look super realistic, cant realy put my finger on why. one thing is the spring itself, too few coils to look realisic

I did these for my Rubi.

Very simple to do with the MFM chassis.

Ask Mike (1BadBoyBand) if you need better pics. You can also use different color miniT springs.

thanks riz, definatly cool but i for teh look im after i would definatly need smaller diameter springs.
i think a moded TLT shock body is gonna be the way to go, its just gonna be getting the springs for the right look.
i think ive seen someone put two TLT springs on turned down TLT shock, i need to find a pic of that again...
anyone got one?

If no one else posts a pic before tonight I'll take one of my turned down TLT shock with stacked Mini-T springs.

awesome guys. im sitting here staring at my first set of TLT shocks, and it just dont seem like youd be able to remove that much material turning them down to remove the larger diameter top half...

you cant take a whole lot off. just to be safe, only turn em to the smaller OD of the shock body. then youll be in the clear if you dont go past that, just leter rip tater chip!
