Another Winter Day in Kansas I found another decent place to wheel just down the street from my house. It has rocks of all sizes, a little water and some dirt. *DISCLAIMER: NONE OF THESE PHOTOS ARE 'POSER' SHOTS, THE TRUCK WAS DRIVEN INTO EVERY PHOTO LOCATION* http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...a/WKCRAWL4.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1.../WKCRAWL11.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1.../WKCRAWL12.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1.../WKCRAWL13.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1.../WKCRAWL18.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...a/WKCRAWL2.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...a/WKCRAWL3.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...a/WKCRAWL5.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...a/WKCRAWL6.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...a/WKCRAWL7.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...a/WKCRAWL8.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...a/WKCRAWL9.jpg |
Nice place for crawling"thumbsup" |
Looks like FUN!!! Scott |
Every time i see pics like that it makes me want to finish mine"thumbsup" awesome man looks like a 1:1 |
sweet pics, defenantly looks like a good spot to crawl. id love to find something like that near me. |
Great looking truck and a really nice spot to play "thumbsup". You're lucky, everything here is buried in snow. It'll be months before I see any rocks. That rig has come along way since I first saw it, very nice! T.D. (Spinout180) |
Thanks guys!! TrailDawg - I can thank Mitch and in some part you (because you helped Mitch get hooked) for getting me addicted to this crawling/trail riding thing. I honestly didn't think I would have so much fun going slow but it is a blast looking at a group of rocks and thinking "Hmmm, can I get over those?". I just need it to warm up a bit. |

Nice photos! Can you post a picture og the car withou the body mounted? What type og chassis is it? |
I will take some body off shots tonight. The specs are: WK drive train MFM chassis Yeah Racing 80mm shocks Stock WK motor Cheap Duratrax ESC Cheap and weak Futaba servo 2.2 Flat Irons on cheap axial beadlocks |
Wheels may be cheap but thats a good combo of them. |
http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...TOPLESSWK3.jpg The layout is a bit nasty looking as I am still in the mock up/shake down stages of the build. |
Nice scenery and nice rig too. Justin |
Welcome to the addiction :). The MFM chassis is very versatile, no doubt you found that out (so many holes/options for mounting). I used the Axial battery plate laid cross-wise on the rails for my packs, works great. It got the CG a little lower. As for Mitch, haven't seen him in a while. I know he runs his crawler at Casper's, but I haven't made it there yet. I'm looking forward to some trail runs with him and Jason from HTO. Keep doing what you're doing, and have fun! T.D. |
Still one of the nicest WK's I've seen in awhile. If you ever make it up this way, we need to hit some trails. Hopefully I can get some people together this summer for some informal fun-runs, I think it'd be a blast! T.D. |
My wife and I, with the new baby, may be up there in late June/early July. Mitch is working on getting a trail rig together. I'll be sure to bring the WK with if we make it up that way. |
hey is this in pittsburg kansas or what because me and you could go crawling if it is i have a wk and its a yellow and black jeep"thumbsup" |
