| Traxxas Slipper on WK? and shock caps.
I've seen the threads on using a Blitz top shaft and a 5mm/mod 1 pinion to install a slipper clutch, but has anyone tried a Slash slipper? I ask because i have some and I could use my 32p Revo spurs. Also, I like using the stock plastic shock because they're cheap and my WK is a basher not a crawler, but I'd like some aluminum shock caps to stop blow-outs on big jump landings. I am new here but I've tooled for years on my WK. Thanks. |

I ran a slash slipper on a WK trans once. Everything bolts up except for one part (and your limited to running a 87t spur or smaller in 48 pitch) The shaft on a WK trans is shorter than the Traxxas. So you can't run a spring on it. But I'm no fan of a slipper clutch anyway. Just make your truck so it won't break parts And about your shocks.... The reason for the caps popping off, isn't the cap is flimsy, its because the shock bodies are flimsy. They flex allowing the caps to come off. So Aluminum shock bodies are more important than trying to find aluminum caps. These are the best shocks for the money, from what I hear. 3 Racing Shocks TOM |
