Does Anyone Know If You Can Narrow The Stock Rims On The Wk Like You Do With The Pede Rims.

Red Rockcrawler 06-03-2007 04:29 PM

I don't we why not. From what I can tell from the rim you can do the front but not the back.

You can narrow most any plastic wheel but some are harder than others. Trick on the hard ones is boil the beads in hot water after you cut them off. When the plastic gets hot it expands. While the beads are hot you can stretch them on the same diameter wheel. As the beads cool they tighten on the wheel. Then plastic weld on. I have done several sets. But have also gotten blisters on my fingers from the hot rings/ beads once. Be careful!!!!

hey, if you have a drill press and an air die grinder, then you can mount the bit w/ a cutting wheel in the drill press and use the drill press bench to lower, raise or trim w/ perfect lines everytime.
