| My first crawler: WK
Hi everyone, my name is Mario and i'm from Caracas, Venezuela. I'm new on this hobbie, and i have a WK with no electronics. I receive it last week, and i did some mods already, waiting to buy the electronics. Here are some pics: When i get it: posing with other toy mine: Change the body: making a rear soft top: and a roof rack: I did not finish yet, but when i'm done i'll let you know. |

The body looks amazing. are you planing on going scale with it? it would be cool to see the final project.

Well, i love the crawlers, but i really love the details of the scales too! The thing that atract to me was that, the realistic looks of this cars. I really think to become my WK in a realistic crawler, not so xtreme like a crawler, but more capable than a scale. Let's see how it's ends. Thank you guys for your's comments!!

Well, i used a brass rod soldering with tin, and i'll use sailcloth or canvas(i don't know the right term) for the top. I think it will be very nice! I bougth the sailcloth already, it's black and waterproof. I hope finish it this weekend, let's see if i can.

This body came with a toy a bougth time ago, was a EZTEC 1:10 RC Truck. It's damage already, and i took the body to the wheely king.

Looks good, just needs a mild stretch to line up the wheels and wells and it could look like a Florida Mud Truck!

Yeah, i know that i have to stretch the wheel base, but i'm waiting for the electronics first. I wanna make a scale crawler, so i have to change the tires. But i'll wait, i'm going step by step. Thanks for comments!!

Well, to begun, i'm thinking leave the stock motor, i'll buy an esc DYNAMITE TAZER 15T, and a 3300 mah battery. I have a FUTABA 3PM radio with the receiver. This wiil be the primary configuration.

Any thoughts on working on the suspension links or wheels and tires.? any of that sort of thing?

Yeah, i'm gonna change the suspension links with a home made aluminum links. And the wheels and tires, i would change it, but it's really hard to found it here in Venezuela, i have to buy it by amazon or ebay, then it should wait!

Yeah, the problem here in Venezuela we have an import restrictions, and that makes more difficult to bring here stuffs, we have a dolars restriction and we have to pay a tax for the "nationalization" the article you import, and the shipments are pretty expensive because of that. Anyway, CHAVEZ SUCKS!!!!
