It's because that ESC is for temporary use only.

Most generally what likely what is happening is your bogging the truck in snow. This puts more strain on the motor which in turn puts more strain on the ESC. The ESC then trips into overheat mode and shuts off till it cools enough to be used again. The esc is worthless though I tripped mine attemping to crawl after 5 minutes. A new ESC is in order if you want to get rid of the pausing all together. A gearing change (reduction) would help slow things down a bit. A cooling fan also helps.

Yeah I've found that anything more then wide open driving strains the esc into overheat mode.

I tossed mine up on ebay and made $27, went and bought a better esc never looked back.

do you think it is because of the 3300 battery? it doesnt do it with the stock one. im thinkin about getting a moped esc and a square battery from the crawler store, but i dont want an esc that keeps on shutting off, and i dont want to get a new motor or gearing right now, i need to get stuff to extend my wb for my build.

Unless your battery is a 7 cell, I don't see why it would have any effect on your esc, other than maybe running the truck for longer and heating up the esc? You will be dissapointed if you extend your wheelbase without switching the speed control or your gears. Taller gears will reduce the strain on your speed control, and help you actually crawl. I really recommend gearing before you extend it, if you don't have the money for both.

i can get both right now since i got a lot of money to hobby town and money from christmas.

i dont know y but the battery does seem to make it over heat, i dont know y it just does with the 3300 battery instead of the 1500.

i think im going to cough up some money and buy a new esc and gears, and parts to extend the wb.
