as the Northern Boyz know C.K. was nice enough to get us a pulling sled. when he left for Vacation he left it at my house and yesterday i finally had a chance to go over it. first off I took it all apart and fixed/replaced as needed, and then reasembled it.its a solid sled and the workmanship on it was excellent. i will be giving it a good workout today to make sure eveything functions properly. i also did a little customizing on it, and added a few things. ill give you guys an update on how it works.

ok had a fun day playing with the sled, it works great. i set up a course in the yard and pushed the truck hard and suprisingly nothing broke. i was able to pull 5 bricks 35ft and with the sixth brick i only made it half way. soooo since its my first time pulling not sure if thats good or bad, but the testing did help me in how i need to set up my truck better. so when Neil & CK get back lets have a little GTG and we all can test it.

Have some sushi for me.

neillarson 03-24-2011 09:05 AM

I am still up for Sunday, going to be cold though, maybe we should go to Ron's (if he is agreeable, or maybe I should say if his wife is, lol) and play with the sled? He has a decent rock pile too.

on a side note, anybody knowledgable on electric boats? My new property is 187'X1252' and we are putting a damn up to create a small pond, but it is attached to my families 18 acre pond so should be plenty of room. I was thinking of the new Traxxas Spartan, brushless with 6S capability.

sally1800 03-24-2011 09:08 AM

I think I might be out for this weekend.
