Default SCRC summer comp #1

Saturday May 7 2011
Busse woods higgens road location

$5 per entry (have to check for sure about scale fee), 1 truck per class per person

2.2 "Pro"
2.2 "sportsman"
2.2 scale
1.9 scale

Checkin is 10am
Comp is 10:30 sharp

Pro and Sportsman will run first then scale classes.

Judge volunteers would be welcome. Everyone is welcome rather you are an SCRC member,Nirc member or Outlaw member (or not a member at all). This is Arts first comp as club director, lets have a good time and a good turnout.

I may be late if I have to be at my dentist in the AM.

I would volunteer to judge if I can make it there.

We usually will check people in until we have taken down the course for that class. Depending on turnout, that could be noon or it could be 3. Just try to get there as soon as you can and we will try to accomidate.

I will be there for 2.2 Comp Class. There is no way that I will have the new 2.2 Class 3 Scale Rig done by then.

I was just reading the scale rules on SCRC. I have a question, are the 1.9 and 2.2 scale events this Saturday using the Comp Scale Class rules? I really want to make it to Busse Woods this Sat. but I need to take my daughter to an appointment. My wife and I switch off every other weekend, this is my weekend.

Comp Scale Class
-NO comp bodies allowed.
-Vehicles must represent the 1:1 they are made after(tuber or other)
-Front wheel steer
-NO DIG.
-2.2 and smaller tires.
-Can NOT be same truck run in crawling classes.

If you miss the first/any comp in any class, can you still compete at the next comp?
If I make it to this event with only a 2.2 scale rig, could I run the 2.2 scale class and a 2.2 sportsman at the next comp?

you can miss comps all you want... all it will do is hurt you if you care about the season points (which most people dont). We only run the "season series" to nominate our nationals bids.

This weekend will run our general scale rules

I am just going to keep an eye on the sky in the morning. Passing showers are one thing.....constant rain is another. I am not making a decision until the last minute. Gonna give mother nature a chance to skip the rain.

I should be there about 9am or so with my son. We'll hang out and check things out, if it gets too bad I'll post up from my phone. But I am pretty sure it will be off and on again light showers like today, clearing later.

It was a nice day at Busse.....and the rain held off.

The rig just took a beating today between the shock cap ripping apart, the knuckle stripping, and the battery falling out. Well, the shock cap was the easy fix while at Busse. I got the knuckles drilled/tapped to 4mm once I go home, and swapped out the bearings. AND now the batteried are now longer strapped to the skid....they are lock-taped. I hope that flushes out the demons from this truck.
