going to run dig so i had rick shave some down so i can run a MIP drive line in the rear. the pinion isnt long enough to neck it down properly so will see how it holds up.

i've got something like that too. mine is just an output for a center diff though. had a guy make it from p20 steel, so its not going anywhere

you know they make mips with 8mm don't they? i remember looking and you could get them or the punisher, but night need to cut them down. either way though, this will work too.

good stuff man. i like all the parts.

Nice. A 2.2 TF scaler is definitely a future build I want to do so I'll be following along for sure.

What's your plan for a chassis and body?

using a axial chassis and will be making the jesse haines willys. they did a great build thread on pirate so it will be very easy to replicate it.

Probably a dumb question but do people with 2.2 TF axle rigs run some kind of 14mm hex 2.2 wheels?

For wheels..... Some guys have custom wheels made. My bastard Jr. Racer has custom wheels. I think there's a vendor that has 14mm 2.2's out. I'm wanting to and planning on doing a 14mm 2.2 wheel. I just have to much going right now to start anything else. Another option, I've done this on my Bastard Jr. Get a set of factory hexes for a Rock Force and run a Berg offset wheel. Worked perfectly with my old M887 berg wheels. Depending on the wheel, you may need to modify the stock or use a different style of wheel nut.

wasnt to sure about the wheels for this but i have found that the venders on here are very willing to help with anything you wont when it comes to custom parts. i recently contacted mayham about my delema and know have 2.2 monster EX wheels with custom 14mm offset hubs on there way.

that was an awesome question cordy. i was wondering the same thing.

looks like the resident TF guys had some good answers too. i will be in the same boat when getting my 2.2 built.

one question, are you going to run some universals or cvds from a 1/8th buggy? or do you plan to use the stock bones and stub axles with your custom wheels?

the hubs are being made to take a 14mm hex. the rear is locked out so dog bones and stubs are used. the front will be cut and sleaved kosho universals.

I say custom 17mm 2.2s That way you can use buggy shafts.

sticking with 17mm hubs would be great but being a scaler i didnt think that big nut would go over very well.

Bart whats the difference between a buggy shaft and the shafts i have? i am still very new to this rc stuff, in the pic you can see the shaft i will useing for this build and below is a spare that i use in my other twin force rig. is that lower one not a buggy shaft?

Yep. The buggy ones have the set screw that holds the pin in place.

I'd love to see how you're making these delrin parts with just a dremel and hand tools. They're sick.
