Yeah, it wouldn't be so tight. If we didn't have to make them wheel adaptors. Suspensions done, Electronics are done, Trans is mounted, just need the wheel adaptors, rear driveshaft and time that we don't have. |

More pics Still need to make side panels. Tested the Novak crawler motor with the Castle Creations Mamba Maxx ESC, doesn't seem to want to work at all. I'm going to see if I can find a decent outrunner at the hobby store tomorrow, otherwise I'll prolly get the novak controller along with it, for some reason the mamba maxx esc along with a sensorless motor doesn't really do anything. |

Looks great. When I had my emaxx and bl I had 12cells. You might want to try that if you dare. Strip the paint of the tranny it looks old. Then the rest looks so good and new. Good job fellers. |

The mamba maxx isnt quite compatable with the novak and LRP type motors. They are working on a software update to fix the issue. Did it even try to start up or did it just jump around a bit? |

It didn't start up right it just kind of cogged back and forth even in neutral. If you would give the motor a spin start it would work. Soya contacted both novak and castle creations both said it would work great with that setup, guess not. He bought some brand new 3800 packs to make sure it was not the batteries.

I would guess that the setup would work like a charm. Nothing different about the novak construction over any other two pole inrunner. Something must be awry in the setup.

Pretty sure castle sold me a messed up controller, I'd like the novak crawler motor but they don't sell it seperately. So I'm pretty much out like $300 ****ing dollars and no running truck.

I would like to drive it also, but Castle said 2 more weeks until they send me a new controller. So for now it sits and does nothing.

Soya, Monster, this is one awesome crawler. I personally like the super size tuber/crawler/trail rigs. And this one is cherry. Awesome job you two.

I've got it operational, I installed my Revolver brushless motor with quark esc. Belive it or not it's actually enough power. I actually broke something in the front diff from the torque. I'm thinking its a cross pin in the diff. Soya has some bigger brushless stuff coming though. We just needed to get this thing going in time for a hobbyexpo in Chicago this weekend. We are going to work on inflating the tires with air and installing the rest of the body panels. So far it handles the rocks really good, no major torque twist issues.

Porta John? it a hot tub. Truck is 16 pounds 7 ounces I don't think it's going to be winning many races. At least not with the revolver setup. |
