Its about axles so please do.. Now start with 8mm rod and turn the ends down to 6mm to fit the spool. And what ever way you want wheel attachment on the outer end and you will have me drooling. And for the front. Can we use HPI Savage stubs and bones ? They are bigger at the ball and pin ends and thicker shafts correct ? Or whats the best thing going ? I dont like CV shafts for dirt .. mud and water. Pain in the oss to keep clean and wearing out. Strong yes. But needs rubber boots or something. |

any 1/8 buggy/ truggy universal will work. some require more shimming around the knuckle than others. i keep a big pile of 8mm shims around. if you need a length different that stock short side, (buggy fits this perfectly), you will need to cut and sleeve. and or weld and sleeve them to get the desired length. and i am really talking universals for steering axles, straight axles, i am still using dog bones. here is a how too i wrote up for Rick over at supershafty.com How To Shorten your Mad - Twin Force axles |

You would be surprised how well a sleeved bone will hold up with JB-WELD. . Yup made many for buggies. . But gearing down to 100:1 and lower I bet they may not hold so well. |

Terra Killer build MJ. They are custom made out of 7075 alum with 4mm ID so I can drill to the shaft diameter I will be using. The shafts in these are all extended truggy shafts. Full width axles need loooooooooong shafts.

right you are man. jb weld could hold with open diffs, but once you lock a diff they'd snap in a second. |
