| ROCHOBBY 1941 Willys MB
I wanted to ask if anyone has ordered FMS' new 1/6 ROCHOBBY 1941 MB Scaler? https://www.fmsmodel.com/product/roc...april-21/1182/ I live in China so mine arrived yesterday a day after it shipped. I got it for my son to play so considering the price, I wasn't expecting anything more than toy grade but overall am happy with the detailing & build quality. Some things, like the tall windscreen look wonky or, as I expected, were done to keep costs low so I expect to see the aftermarket guys getting to work on this one. The tow hook Initial impressions are quite good except for the suspension which is far too soft. Haven't had chance to take it out but did drive it around the living room & immediately noted that I will need to change the shock springs. As is, it can even carry one figure without lurching around like a drunken sailor on liberty. At only 4kg its half the weight of my HG Hummer so I expect thats the reason for the soft suspension but still didn't expect anything like this. No wonder all the drive videos on FMS' site or Facebook page neglect to show any figures onboard. Would be interested in hearing others opinions and plans to upgrade. Should be a fun project for mods. |
