Can you give any estimate on length or loading?

Savage shocks are good for length, they are 6.25" eye-to-eye.

If you need length and your rig is like 20lbs+ then look at the LST2 shocks. They are true monster size shocks.

Larger than that and you would have to have them custom-made.

9 1/2 pounds? Sounds light for 1/6....

You mention 185, as in mm? Is that from eye-to-eye ( where the screws mount ) ?

That would be roughly 7 1/4 inches, which is longer than most everything I have seen available. I measured my savages at 6.25 inches or about 158mm. And the Losi LST2 are only slightly longer.
