| 1/6 CXT project
I'm still not done with the suspension and I'm debating if I'll change it to leaf spring. I need to get a hex widener since WK axle is not wide enough, Also I need to do some body works as I cracked it when I put some force to the back windows. Let me know what you think. Looks amazing! What tires are those and how much wider do you think the axles need to be? |

This thing is bada$$! I think the bumper, grille, and the stack should be chrome and maybe it could use some running boards but it is still awesome. How did you make the rear driveshaft/what shafts did you use?

Drive shaft is a combination of losi, traxxas that I cut here and there for a temporary use. I need close to 1/4" per side of the axle and the tires I'm using is an irok 2.2 which is about 5.75" taller I think?? Bumper will remove and replace with tube type as soon as I get the materials. I have the gas tank, side step on both side just waiting to be install.

leave the grill and bumper but ya the stacks would look more scale chrome or black thinking the links could be longer, might make it more stable and not feel so top heavy |

Nice build. I built one using nylint parts and a swaybar is a must.

Looks great, but those control arm angles look somewhat suspect. Can you lower the truck some and/or raise the body a bit if need be?

I'm still not decided if I'll stick with link suspension or switch to leaf spring. Definitely I will do something with the angle If current link will stay.

The laundry should be scared! Keep monkeying with it, but damn that is a big rig! I love it. I got some wheel wideners from rc4wd...I think they were 3/4 on either side. Look it up...they might be the key. Keep us posted Last edited by Bulldog; 04-23-2012 at 12:21 AM. |

I'd paint that mirror the same color as the body and tHe exhaust stacks a flat black.

I have one NIB of these that I bought 4 of at wally world in 2008/9 on clearance for 32 bucks each. I still have not decided what to do with the last one as I have traded the others off for other RC goodness. I bought them all with the intent of RC scale fun. This is pushing me in the direction of Off-roader vs tow rig. THis is prett awesome,Only thing I would recomend is bring the trans up and forward and perhaps have the rear shaft go to a carrier then down to the rear axle. |

I really like the scale look of the driveshafts for sure! As for suspension, the 1:1 are leafs, and so far, I yet have to see a build with leafs. IMO, I'd go with the leafs. You may lose in the articulation department, but it will provide an increase in stablization. Oh yeah, and the transfer case mount is actually close to scale! Seriously. If you don't beleive me, google it yourself! |

Looking good man, the color really sets it off. Did you pull all the windows and trim off to paint ? I'm breaking mine down for some paint now, major pain in the ass !!! But they do make a great tow rig !! |
