Default custom control arm measuring device

Control arms were beginning to piss me off! I had several attempts and could not make them the same length. I could see the axles not square and I got tired of the trial and error. I read several posts on how to get this right but either I really suck at using a ruler and caliper or this is more difficult than it looks. or all of the above. I could make the rod just perfect but when it came down to ball cup center to center I was always just a bit off. Measuring end to end wasnt doing it because of the small nub of material left over from the injection moulding process. So...I came up with this idea. Im not sure if this is a new idea but whatever. Im not claiming to be original. Its just a good idea. I have been reading that some folks were having the same issues I was so I thought I would post this to maybe help someone somewhere sometime. I just drilled holes in my caliper and ran a couple of ball ends thru it and bolted em up. Its not a very good way to measure true length. Just a way to make sure that the links are the same length. enjoy.
