So I just got bored with it. NOW WITH PICS! SO....... here is a little sneek peak of things to come"thumbsup" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSYTnspJebI |
Nice Bob, looks awesome! Just picked one up from Turtle over the weekend. I got a few old models laying around still from my younger days, I'll have to dig them out and see what I can come up with."thumbsup" |
Nothin like a good snow run! Looks great! |
Ahem. So this was really the last thing i did to the micro. Ripped her out of the work room last week. I was going to try and do a lil comp refurb with it. But, alas, I am redoing it all scale, again. I have sanded and repainted the Commando body in that vid. I aslo just received a micro U-trail scale chassis from TCS. After assembly i want new RC4wd tires and some BWD beadlocks. i will build and takes pics in the next couple days. Then does anybody know if the stock ESC can handle 3s? id like it to be a lil more bash worthy. |
3s, no. Some ppl save the 2s has too much punch as is. Get a thunder ower pack. I belive the 350mah 2s is small enough to fit. |
are you gonna be running it in the snow? |

Well. the Hyperion 2s pack i have is fast. but 3s would be sick. I have had a little time to spend on this between work, Halloween and the ensuing hangover.... BUT, i did get it almost fully built. The TCS Ltrail delerin Micro chassis is pretty cool. I got it all set up with a HT 65MG and built under the original Jeep Commando body in the vid above. I repainted the body, and set up a Basic interior. I used some super magnets to mount the body to the chassis, and I also set up a working winch!!! I bashed it around the house yesterday and broke off a bumper and a mount. I will fix it all up and get some glory shots today or tomorrow. Edit and yes, I will be running in the snow! |
Sooooo. dont fawkin make fun of me because i broke the bumper off. it has a real nice chrome lower bumper and a rhino bar that hide the lil winch retract thinggy very well. they are just awaiting epoxy. (CA IS GHEY):flipoff: the Chassis http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/pictu...ictureid=15188 body mounted http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/pictu...ictureid=15189 winching http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/pictu...ictureid=15193 http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/pictu...ictureid=15194 and posing http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/pictu...ictureid=15192 http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/pictu...ictureid=15190 http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/pictu...ictureid=15191 SCHNOOGINS"thumbsup" bitches:flipoff: |
So it was real hard for me to decide to take this the scale route. But felt a little empty because scale automatically makes it less capable than a comp rig... So then i realized that there was a reason I bought my Girl a RTR Micro when i got mine!!! So w/ my micro, hers, and a lil package from BWD.... I can have both. :D I am going to use the Ally wheels and a set of links (to stretch the rear under body) on my tiny scaler. then a BWD Micro wedge kit - 1 set of links will go on hers. Pics to come soon! |
new stuff http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/pictu...ictureid=15451 stretched a lil bit http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/pictu...ictureid=15452 built the micro wedge and links last night. Gotta go to a snobby clown and pick up somenew shocks and springs. more to come!"thumbsup" |
You need a set of rok lox or crushers on there. I really like the body, nice details on it. |
your rear wheel is not properly seated on the bead :flipoff: |

im sellin an sr3500 rx 80 bucks theyre 130 new and i havent even used it yet |
So I re-did it again. cut the chassis rails to fit the body, re mounted the battery, and am working on the winch. I have some rock lox comin too. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/pictu...ictureid=15476 http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/pictu...ictureid=15475 http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/pictu...ictureid=15474http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/pictu...ictureid=15477 |
Soooooooo It took me a minute or to to get this Micro wedge chassis to work the way i wanted. w/ a stock wheel base, it just goes right togeather. But i wanted @least a 5.5in WB. So, this is where she sits. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/pictu...ictureid=15604 http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/pictu...ictureid=15603 what this lil rig can do now is just freggin insane compared to my scale micro or a stock one!!! it crawls right up the back of my couch! LOL Now its just a debate of which tires and rims, and which body to rock on it. and the lil scaler gots new shoes! http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/pictu...ictureid=15602 |
