Nice Bob, looks awesome! Just picked one up from Turtle over the weekend. I got a few old models laying around still from my younger days, I'll have to dig them out and see what I can come up with."thumbsup"

ericinMD 02-22-2010 10:45 AM

Nothin like a good snow run! Looks great!

BEELZEBOB 10-28-2010 12:12 PM

Ahem.

So this was really the last thing i did to the micro.

Ripped her out of the work room last week. I was going to try and do a lil comp refurb with it.

But, alas, I am redoing it all scale, again.

I have sanded and repainted the Commando body in that vid. I aslo just received a micro U-trail scale chassis from TCS.

After assembly i want new RC4wd tires and some BWD beadlocks.

i will build and takes pics in the next couple days.

Then does anybody know if the stock ESC can handle 3s?

id like it to be a lil more bash worthy.

Jeepkid 10-30-2010 09:50 AM

3s, no. Some ppl save the 2s has too much punch as is. Get a thunder ower pack. I belive the 350mah 2s is small enough to fit.

murderface 10-30-2010 01:02 PM

are you gonna be running it in the snow?

my 2c tp is stupid fast youll be fine with 2c

BEELZEBOB 11-01-2010 09:40 AM

Well.
the Hyperion 2s pack i have is fast. but 3s would be sick.

I have had a little time to spend on this between work, Halloween and the ensuing hangover....

BUT, i did get it almost fully built.

The TCS Ltrail delerin Micro chassis is pretty cool.

I got it all set up with a HT 65MG and built under the original Jeep Commando body in the vid above.

I repainted the body, and set up a Basic interior.

I used some super magnets to mount the body to the chassis, and

I also set up a working winch!!!

I bashed it around the house yesterday and broke off a bumper and a mount. I will fix it all up and get some glory shots today or tomorrow.

Edit and yes, I will be running in the snow!

BEELZEBOB 11-01-2010 04:11 PM

Sooooo. dont fawkin make fun of me because i broke the bumper off.

it has a real nice chrome lower bumper and a rhino bar that hide the lil winch retract thinggy very well.

they are just awaiting epoxy. (CA IS GHEY):flipoff:

BEELZEBOB 11-18-2010 11:48 AM

So it was real hard for me to decide to take this the scale route.

But felt a little empty because scale automatically makes it less capable than a comp rig...

So then i realized that there was a reason I bought my Girl a RTR Micro when i got mine!!!

So w/ my micro, hers, and a lil package from BWD....

I can have both. :D

I am going to use the Ally wheels and a set of links (to stretch the rear under body) on my tiny scaler.

then a BWD Micro wedge kit - 1 set of links will go on hers.

Pics to come soon!

BEELZEBOB 11-19-2010 09:32 AM

You need a set of rok lox or crushers on there. I really like the body, nice details on it.

murderface 11-19-2010 01:07 PM

your rear wheel is not properly seated on the bead :flipoff:

The Rox lox would look real good on that one, I think.

X2, w/the mini QLO's & the streched W.B. it would look like more of a fit.

BEELZEBOB 11-19-2010 01:42 PM

what 3ch RX and ESC are you micro guru's ripping into for this lil guy?

i would want 4ws on a 6'' WB Wedge me thinks :D

BEELZEBOB 11-22-2010 11:23 AM

Soooooooo

It took me a minute or to to get this Micro wedge chassis to work the way i wanted.

w/ a stock wheel base, it just goes right togeather. But i wanted @least a 5.5in WB.

So, this is where she sits.

Extending the W.B. makes such a Big difference w/these Micro's.

Your 1st pic look's like the L rear is longer than the R side? Might just be the pic??
