Default Trail trekker build

Finally got around to painting the Toyota body I put on my Trail Trekker. I used model master and Tamiya paints. The cage and front bumper are .80 styrene rod painted with texture black paint. I used 5 min clear epoxy to attach the mirrors wipers and glass. Still a few things to do ,but I wanted to post pictures before I tear it up.

Looks good. How did you mount the body?

I have a similar project going right now. The texture paint helps the styrene look very believable. Looks good overall.

The textured paint looks great I will has to give that a try did you sand before paint and did you have to do have to prepare the styrene before painting to prevent the styrene from dissolving

Thanks for the comments guys, about the texture paint...this is actually from a company called Scale Motorsport . This paint is suppose to represent fabric on a race car seat etc ,but I thought it looked a lot like the finish on the trail trekker frame. After I saw how good it looked I decided to do the bumper and side mirrors. No prep is required on the styrene hobby machine. I will try and get some body off pictures ,but what I did was modify the kits cab floor and attached it with body pins to the chassis. The cab uses the factory kit points and I can take it off to access the batteries.

Thanks for the interest, the back cage is styrene. I used styrene tube and aluminum wire to pin all the joints. Here are pictures with the body off to show how it mounts, some of the rear and a few with the lights on.
