Default Miclaw tires on RC4WD beadlocks?

Anybody have this combination? I'm having a hard time getting the Miclaws on the RC4WD beadlock, not able to get the bead into the groove. No problem with new Rok Lox tires. Do I need to mod wheel or tire? I'm going to try to use some powder on the bead since its so sticky.

The MiClaw bead is very thick. You will have to work it in from one edge and then seat the bead with the ring. It will pop in, you just have to be patient.

I have that combo, the rims needs the groove opened up. I gave up trying and mounted Mickeys on those rims.....easily. Once I get time, I'll widen the groove up and mount my Miclaws.

I had a hard time mounting the same tires on my HR rims. I think the Miclaws are just a little big, soft and hard to work with. It took me a while on the first rim but after a while I got it down. Then my Mickey Thompson tires showed up and I pulled them all off and swapped those on. They just look so much better, though I'll probably buy another set of rims and mount the Miclaws for more performance crawling.

I have BWD rims and they are very tough to fit in the bead, but once you get one edge started, just start working your way around tightening the beadlock ring a little bit at a time. You can't seat them by hand, you will have to use the ring to get the beads to seat.

A Qtip dabbed with water helps to lubricate the bead and seat slightly easier.
