Default anyone seen this yet

looks like theres a new miniqlo moa out. i could swear they already had a moa out. it had a goofy truck body on it. looks a lil bigger than 1:24 to me tho. looks like the motors are mounted like a LCC moa. just added to their site yesterday...

I like it. It's wide and has a liberty-esque look to it. Looks more like a real buggy than any other production micro out there.

Wierd & kinda dorky, huh?

We're grown men playing with toy trucks.

But I like that little rig- looks OK. The MOA thing isn't for me, though.

Great find rik!!! It's sick!!!! It just has the look of a real rock buggy. Ohh yea it comes with rear dig and a 3 channel controller. There going for 130$ plus 23$ for shipping, so out the door your looking about 160$ not to bad I think. Here is some more colors and the specs

Looks like it's got a lot of potential. It will be really good if there is aftermarket support for it.

IMO still looks dorky.
Vids show it crawling well but it just looks funny being so tall...
I could see a cool tuber built for it tho.

I've got one coming, think it's the old body version .... as for the height ... anyone remember what a stock McRC looked like? Also grabbed a spare motor, external spring set and internal droop spring set (they actually have a set).

Wish I'd seen this version before I ordered though ... I like that body better. Should be a fun rig to mod the crap out of.

Hey EGG, I noticed in a few of your posts you mentioned having one of the old truck body MOA's ... did you ever post s build thread, or anything about them?
Yeah, I been reading all your micro posts lately ... lots of good info in them, used a few of your ideas already.

I agree on the body, may just have to grab a second now for spares and that body ... crap, I'm gonna be broke and I still gotta christmas shop for the wife ... think she'd want one?

Here's what I don't get..and am surprised none of you picked up on it. Look at the features pic posted above. Second feature..."shaft driven 4wd" hmmmm... LOL.. but i watched those videos good and close. It does indeed have the motors mounted like a LCC moa..also if you look at the first pic posted in here, it looks like there is a drive line goin to the axles from the center of the rig or where a tranny would be. I saw that first then watched the videos real close. I guess its just a funny angle and one of the uppers look like a drive shaft. I dunno, kinda weird. Either way I want one for the axles.

Besides the axles, there isn't much else to it .... The ESC does have a dig function programmed into it, my question is ... does it have a LiPo cutoff? I know the newer shafted version now has LiPo cut-off.
Other wise the servo's will be junk, I'm sure the 2.4Ghz Tx/Rx will be just as good ( ) as the Losi unit so it should be fine. Considering it's size I would expect it to have a fairly small Rx. Previously they came without Rx/Tx so ARTR.
I would expect they come with bushings so a bearing kit would be in order.
It may be marketed by RCTrax, but it's made by Yokomo, so it's not like it's some turd toy ... everyone jumped on the SUMO crawler wagon, and it looks cheaper than this by far.
I have a number of parts (links, balls, axle stubs) for a Mini-Qlo and the quality of them is fine, plastic is a little softer than the McRC so I expect it would tend to flex some. Those parts are the same as the ones used for the MOA.

I'm not going to condemn it until I have it, then I'll do what I always do ...
CHOP, CUT, REBUILD ... stock sucks, get used to it, that's why we have an aftermarket.

But I still like that body ... if anyone gets one and want to toss the body please shoot me a PM.
