| HR shocks
Hi there! I just bought HR shocks for my TT.Can someone provide some ''know how'' for make them work. They are stiff as a .....! I toke off the O-ring,put the softest spring, lubed the shaft, but still they doesn't compress/decompress freely. On top of that, one of the shocks, sometimes stuck when fully extended.I'm about to put the stock one back. They worked waaaaaay better. Any tip will be helpful. Thanks! |

Easiest way to get them working is to take them apart, heat up a screwdriver that is a tight fit in the bottom of the shock body and burn the 'o' ring until the stock shaft moves freely. It's a bit extreme but it works for both my sets... Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk |

Jim's method above sounds like a good one. It is a well-known issue with them and many people will advise they go straight in the bin. The little (and I mean tiny) o-rings can be removed, but I tried this and found that it allows too much play in the shaft and causes the piston to bind against the sides of the cylinder. I pushed mine onto a (cold) screwdriver and left them a few days to stretch a bit then replaced them. Similar result but I think Jim's method is more foolproof |
