mods i did.. took the foam out of the tires and replaced with BB's. this made the tires real squishy.(very good grip) Put bent links in the front, i would have em in the rear to But "liquid racing" screwed me, I should take their logo off the truck but it looks good i think. Mounted the batt. on the back axle. lowered the body an inch. thats really about it so far...but i'm sure there will be a lot more coming...soon.

forgot one cool thing, I cut a chunck of metal tubing in half and made some custom diff. pumpkin covers..you can see them in these pics. just hot glued them on so i can get them off later if i need to. the pumpkins dont get hung up on the rocks anymore, they just slide right off.. |

| Body Trim
I just got a grappler body and it rubs like a bitch. Did you have to tirm much? Looks like the front hasn't been trimmed. Does it rub? Did you punch your mounting holes in the lower holes or the higher?

yes it does rub a little. I only cut the back fenders a bit but looks like i will need to cut more. Also i will be trimming the front. Sucks to, because the truck looks good like that. Oh ya, I punched the upper holes to make it set lower. to do this you will need to move your batt. if you havent done so yet.

I have my grappler mounted in the higher of the two sets of holes (lower body position), with bigger tires I just cut the whole back off after the "roll bars" behind the cab.

Not bad Jeff. I really like your setup. Especially those damn Blue Claws that take you places my truck won't think of going. Just wait...!

I just got a Grappler body painted and mounted up the other day, I punched the mounting holes about 1/4th inch above the higher mounting holes. It really looks good but when crawling it does rub. I trimmed it quite abit but still rubs a little. I will need more and that will kind of ruin the looks, but the first new body is always a template for the next one. |
