Default Sidewinder micro HELP please

I need some help here folks. I have a friend's son with a Losi MRC that had the ESC go bad and take out the steering servo in the process. He bought a Sidewinder micro and new Hitec servo and this evening we put it all together. Steering servo works great. The Sidewinder is another story, after programing it just jerks back and forth when you pull the throttle into forward or reverse. I am not sure I programed it right, the tones were not very obvious and it is possible I messed up in the process. I did hook a spare motor he had thinking that might be the issue and it does the same thing. So I am confident it has to do with programming. How do you reset it to re-accomplish setup? Any advice would be appreciated.

well the easiest way is with a castlelink via a computer..your local hobby shop might set you up or maybee a buddy..if not you have to do the manual programing from scratch..might still be in brushless mode..what mtr are you useing is it brushed or brushless

I was just viewing a post with Youtube link showing a rig with the full size Sidewinder doing the same thing and everyone said the same thing, It was still in brushless mode.

He is running the stock brushed Losi motor

had a similar issue with mine, ended up being a bad receiver...steered fine, throttle had a mind of it's own.

threw out a TQ3, bought a DX3S....instantly fixed

I had an issue with mine as well, normal hookup is the red and black wires, mine uses the white wire and either the red or black, not sure off hand, it's out in the garage at the moment. It had me puzzled for a bit until I just tried swapping them around.
