| Are losi CVD's junk?
anyone snap their losi CVD's? I had installed a set and not even a full battery, one snapped at the knuckle. Rig wasn't in a tight spot, wasn't even turning and barely on the throttle. |

Yes and no. Normally no, but we did have some bad ones sneak through. I have put a block on all those that we had in stock including the replacement stub axles itself. I'm currently working with our vendor to get corrected parts and at that time I will be able to replace those that broke but please hang on to your broken parts. I'm not sure how soon I will have replacements ready but once we do I'll let our customer service department know and we'll post info here and on the Losi forum. Sorry for the hassle, Rich |

| Refreshingly honest answer Rich
Rich: Thanks for the refreshingly honest answer. That's the way smart companies build loyalty. Is there a way to tell which CVs are from the bad lot, before they break? Thanks, Chris |

Fawk. I threw mine away. Two pairs. What about receipts. . Well mine broke the same way as pic, but also cracked the ball on the shaft. I was having pin/binding issues. First I lost a pin, replaced it quickly not thinking to check things out. W/ the new pin installed still 3wd. Threw it in the truck and tore it down later to find the shaft broken from ball and cracked inner shaft

| Not to hijack but...I've running the factory dog bones for almost a year with zero problems there are ways to get the same steering without cvd's which there are several complaints about....but I give props to Rich and Losi for trying to fix what is bad and doing it as fast as they can. Put you dog bones back in and keep on crawlin |

I'd like to see close-ups of how you get them to turn as sharp as CVD's

So you cut about 1/4" off the axle shaft? Doesn't that want to seperate from the dogbone? Furthermore, did you cut any of the dogbone "tabs" off because with my MRC at full steer, the dogbone hits the inside of the axle shaft.

The only thing you nedd to do is cut the dog bone about half way, then rebevel. . On these I cut a little too much, I know it's hard to see but that's why I didn't rebevel these. With the tires pointed straight mark the dog bones so there's still enough bite for them to grab when driving straight. Leave yourself some room so you can rebevel. Now you'll hit the housing during full steer rather than your dog bones maxxing out. I knew about this for a while. But didn't bother until Gatekeeper and Trace showed up and kicked my ars. |

And for extra bonus points, clearnce the housing and "C's" with a small hand file or dremel so you can get some really crazy throw
