Default mac10's Chaotic Crawlers mini NiNo2 build!

well I have had this chassis for a little bit now, and am just getting around to building it.

the build will consist of:
Chaotic Crawlers Mini NiNo2 chassis
MRC drivetrain, axles, etc.
losi bent links
lunsford upper and steering links
JR DS8711 servo
Tekin B1R
CC BEC
Spektrum micro RX
poulson motor
losi beadlocks
HB 1.9 rovers
losi aluminum shocks.

later down the road I will add some more upgrades like cvd's etc.

I will post pics tomorrow of the progress.
this promises to be a fast build like all of my builds.

Got the new shoes mounted up and ready to go.
I cut a stock losi foam way down and then added 4.25oz. Of lead shot into the tire for weight in the front. The rears are just a channeled rover foam!

and then on to electronics.

here it is as of today

I spent a couple hours on it today and finally finished it up minus a couple small details.
so far it feels really good and seems to be more stable and perform better than my old mini nino rig.
I do think my front shocks are a hair on the stiff side still though.
I cut down some pen springs and put them inside when I built the shocks, I think I will cut them down some more after i get some drive time in on it this week!
my tire foam/BB combo seems to work pretty well though, the tires do exactly what I want them to do and they seem to wrinkle just the way I planned them too, now hopefully they will hook up and work the same on the rocks!
here she is with steering and electronics!
it is very vertically stable!

the mandatory flex shot

the electronics all mounted up front

and some random side shots

next will be a new body and vertical body posts
I had bought a losi bronco body, but my dog decided that it made a better chew toy than a body, so I need to pick up another from the LHS this week hopefully.
i'm going to go for another crazy color with this body, so I have to decide which body I want to roll first.
thanks for looking!

Looks really good!

this chassis is turning out to be a top performer for sure, just like the original NiNo!

can't wait to see it on the rocks!!!

I am finally getting off my ass and posting a finished pic of this rig!

I have a couple little suspension tweaks I plan on doing, but otherwise I love it!

I've always thought this is a cool little chassis! Nice build so far. It will be interesting to see how vertical you can get when you add all of the running gear.

Those tires look interesting as well. Do you have any experience with the Losi Blue Claws? If so how do the two compare?

it is completely u p and running, i competed with it last weekend and it is very stable and planted on all angles,(uphill, downhill, sidehill)

I ran blue claws on my old mini nino rig and thes rovers hands down have more traction!
they require a little more fine tuning of the foams though to get them right!
