Default Bear's MRC GC3 72' Chevy Build

After a long wait, lots of parts, and one patient & amazing friend, my GC3 is built, and I love it!! I have never had this much fun w/ an RC truck, and w/ this new build, it will only get much, much better!

The Mongoose system is amazing - on 2S 7.4V, it has a TON of power, and more wheel speed than I could ever imagine. I know lots of guys go 3S w/ the Mongoose, but after seeing the power & speed, I'm shocked at why it would be necessary - at least for me.

No cogging w/ the Mongoose either - I was afraid this may be an issue, but it crawls super slow w/o a single problem - one of the best upgrades I've made, hands down.

Although not comp legal (I'm not a comp guy anyhow), the 4WS simply transforms this little truck into one amazing little devil; the GC3 frame already gave me quite a bit of steering throw as it is, but w/ 4WS, I can turn on a dime and get out of the tightest sections w/o a sweat - just a cool feature, and I love the way it looks, too - thanks JDawg for the rear steering plate!!!

My sincere thanks to Frank (Psycho Savvy) for such an awesome build - w/o his help, this truck would be a box of parts at best!! I would also like to thank JDawg for the extra servo plate for my 4WS system, as he really got me out of a tight spot.

Thanks to all the guys who answered all my silly questions over the passing months!

My Build Below - I Forget Anything, Frank?

Losi MRC w/ GC3 Chassis
Losi Aluminum Shocks w/ 10mm Limiters & 32wt Oil
Losi Metal Lockers - Front/Center/Rear
Losi CVD's - Front/Rear
4WS System w/ DX3R Using (3) Position Switch
(2) Hitec HS5245MG Servos
Mongoose Brushless System w/ 2S 7.4V Outrage NRG 850mah LiPo
M.I.P. Drive Lines
Proline 72' Chevy Body
Losi Aluminum Wheels w/ (2) Wheel Weights Up Front/No Rear Weights

This truck reminds me of my own!

GC3, Mongoose, 4WS, Chevy body... I've found mine to be a great performer.

What radio system are you using? I just moved up to 3PM-X and its 4ws capabilities is awesome. Definitely a fun bash/casual rig.

Thanks!, I'm using the DX3R - 3 Position Switch works great for me. It's one fun little rig, that's for sure!!

Same with me. Only difference is that i have the xcelorin system rather than the mongoose. I am also using the DX3r and it works very good. Its a great setup and it very fun to drive!

I doubt that will happen, as I am a professional couch crawler!! I don't crawl outdoors, as this is my indoor toy, but believe me, it gets put through its paces, as me & my buddy setup some pretty mean indoor courses.

Will be officially breaking it in tomorrow at me & my buddy's birthday party - he sets up a killer course in his living room, and it will be a real shootout, as he has an identical GC3, but he is a better driver than me, so I will have to make that up w/ stupidity & power via Mongoose!!

Thanks again, JDawg!! Awesome frame!!!
