I would check all your wiring connections and that the battery connection is good, give it a full charge too of course.

Swap out the tx batteries for some fresh ones or charge them up if they
are rechargables.

I have heard of the wires near the stock esc power swicth being brittle and snapping so check these too.

Beyond that I'm not too sure and will let someone else advise.

If the ESC was really hot (as in hard to keep your finger on for more than a couple seconds) than you may have had a short somewhere. This could have fried your ESC. Like the above poster said, check all your wiring connections.

did you get yours wet? ive submerged mine a few times and this has made it cut off and start flashing,

but most likely crawl before walking will have the right answer for ya,
my battery connection had become poor and i just replaced both ends on the battery and truck and now its fine, i have also been tempted to scrap my mrc all because the batteries in the radio were dead...lol
