Question Losi MRC Steering Upgrades

Hi all just trying to find a soloution to my problem with my losi 1/18 MRC I keep braking the left side steering bolt that connects both the arm running to the servo and also the drag link to the other-side, this bolt seems to be the smallest thread and is not very strong, it is the second time i have broken this same bolt.

My question is has anyone upgraded their steering arms to some thing larger with larger bolts that can put up with a bit of punishment possibly something from a 1/10th or bigger crawler? and if so post up your upgrade and what you've used etc.. or your advise on this problem.
Any help appreciated!

cheers Robb.

If you are talking about the bolt that holds the arm to the knuckle, then yes, plenty of folks have upgraded to 3mm hardware at that location with good results.

I'm still running the stock steering links as I had Intergy alloy ones but are too short but the ends are standard and I'm running Hot racing alloy steering knuckles but I'm happy to drill these out or modify them etc.. to make something stronger fit. Here's the Pic.

do you anyway to make any links? 3mm or 4-40 all thread and tubing?

if you have that and some of axials bent rod ends you could easily make some new links. i'll grab a picture for you.

here's a pic

you can see the losi knuckles drilled out for 3mm hardware.

Ahh.....bogfrog....like Bowtie said, you'll need to upgrade the link. The rod ends on those links wont accept anything larger than the stock hardware.
