| killboy's krawler/dirt basher/swamper/road racer?
Digging around in storage I ran across one of my old 1/10th gas buggies and noticed it used the same wheel hex mount as my MRC, so I had some fun dressing her up. I know this may be blasphemy to some of you, but try to relax and just enjoy the show. First the obligatory arti shot and a bit of info: Gatekeeper GC3 chassis, Losi Xceleron brushless motor/ESC, threaded shocks, aluminum beadlocks, Hot Bodies Rover tires, HS645MG servo, all metal gears in tranny and diffs. First outfit is a dirt track/basher setup that would simply require a pinion gear change for more speed and a shock setup for stiffer dampening and less travel. Next up is the Unstoppable Swamper setup: Who doesn't love paddle tires? And finally, the Road Racer X setup. This would require a big change in gearing, and some really stiff/short shocks, but it might be fun! (I've just got the shocks disconnected here for lowering purposes) Hope you enjoyed the show! Bonus: I got the slam/drop idea from a setup I used to run on my HPI Savage Monster truck: I used to trounce road race cars with this thing. |

Cool ideer! Put it a pepier motor and yer good to go! I always like to see people take a fresh approach, and this usually works best when people are making something into a "basher". |

Thanks! Don't think the Losi brushless can supply enough pep to run fast with the right gearing? Would take some monster gearing I guess...already went up 4 teeth on the pinion and it's still not that fast. |

I put a mamba micro and 8000kv in mine and it made for a fun basher. Crawling sucked bad though, the cogging was terrible.
