| what poweres your MRC?
my wife got me a new MRC pro for my bday and i have been reading up on them. i plan to run a MG645 (and ccbec if i need to). i am new to the MRCs, i run scx10s. i run both brushless and brushed in them. im not sure what i want to run in this. im leading more towards brushed for the control/hold bc i want this to be a straight crawler. i wish holmes still made his motor! i was wondering if we could do a small thread on what you guys are running and your thoughts. if there is already one i missed it when i was searcing. thanks, Ryan |

I run brushless because I don't comp and I don't want to worry about motor maintenance. I have both the Losi and Novak systems. They both have great low speed control because they are sensored and more than enough wheel speed. The drag brake is somewhat weak on both, but for my purposes they are fine.

I use to run the mongoose. Was pretty happy with the low end & speed. But the brake, especially on downhills, killed me. I have since switched to the CC Sidewinder Micro & HH Mini Torquemaster. Very smooth and the brake is real nice. Yes HH no longer makes them but if I had some extra $$ I would def buy one of these Team Brood Anarchy Motors. They make an awesome motor, got 'em in 2.2 and couldn't be happier |

sidewinder micro and Losi RX-280. Motor is $15 and surprisingly good. Plenty of wheel speed and drag brake.

I run mongooses in 2. One with a 18t pinion the other with a 15t. No issues with braking on either. I just fallowed the program instructions and turned it up. Even in it's default (25% I think) it was just fine. Like asw27x, my rigs are light too. Maybe that is why I'm not complaining.
