FRaNKENaXLE! - MRC pumpkin with xr10 tubes/cs/knucks and MAD steering

Here it is guys, some of you were following my previous thread, here's a teaser pic of what i've been working on, it's now fully functional, works great, will need some testing for sure, but i am very happy with the results so far...

I will have a build vid up in a few days.... for now, this pic will have to get you through

Nice...I'd like to know which housing you used for the tubes...are they the front or rear XR cases? Did you drill the holes vertically or are they cut just beyond the factory holes in the XR cases...hard to tell the distances in the pics. What's your measurement from outside of tire to outside of tire...and which wheels and hubs are you running at this point?

That's pretty slick definitely looking forward to some tech, I was going to go the losi conversion route but this looks promising.

most of this info is in the vid (but that's a couple days away probably.), i am about 1/18-1/16 under 8" full width, the wheels are home made CF wheels, i think ia m running 475 hubs, but dont quote me on that... i had to cut it before the factory xr holes so i had to redrill a new hole, i only did one and it seems plenty secure.

oh also, i used the rear xr cases, they were more similar for shock and link mounting.

Awesome job on the video! I'm not big on spending the money on the vp for The mrc, but I did just get a xr an vp chubs, knuckles, an lockout package.. so I may have to get a axle housing an use the stock steering on a spare mrc axle I have.. I deff want to do this mod on one of my rigs! Thanks for The time an effort into the mod an vid!

yeah you could use stock xr chubs and knuckles for sure, wouldn't give you quite the steering angle as the VP, but a lot better than stock MRC.

I'd still like to see the Wraith knuckles put with that mod that you did... BTW great job on it I haven't gotten to watch the whole vid yet... But looks very good I like how you did it

Think thru the mod it would give more steering then the Lcc mod on my juice mini?

with stock xr10 gear, i am not sure, i don't have any experience with the LCC mod, or the stock knucks on my mod...

but i do know my truck with the vp stuff had way better, probably twice the turning radius of my buddy's who had the lcc mod... so i imagine it's be close...hard to say for sure.
