If you got the cash and they are in stock, check out the SDI shafts for 4mm shafts (MRC). They are what the 2.2 guys use, seem to be bulletproof, and are smaller diameter, leaving more room in the rig and less hangups. PROPELLER SHAFT (4mm to 4mm) - Scale Designs International Looks like they are out of stock. Shoot them an email. I'll be ordering a few sets myself soon, so I'm hoping they get more soon. |

So, the MIP shafts are no longer made? The website linked above says "no longer available." The 4mm propeller shaft doesn't look like it has a place to slide lengthwise as the suspension compresses. Does it? What am I missing? I've got a set of eracing steel center drive shafts ordered but I've heard others around here say eracing's quality can be lacking. Any thoughts or other options? |

Bwahaha...I use the 5mm-5mm version of the SDI shafts in my Twin Hammers and beat the hell out of them. Great shafts. If rock racing won't kill em neither will an MRC.

Well the E-racing shafts $#!+ the bed in less then an hour after opening their package. There's a a pin that locks the halves of the shaft together and slides in a groove as the shaft compresses with the suspension. Well that pin fell out and disappeared. Inspection showed that it was held in place by a set screw that was not loctited in place and cannot be accessed to tighten. As I was examining the shaft with the missing pin I noticed the same pin in the other shaft coming out. Pure garbage. Guess I'm gonna go order the propeller shaft now. |

Yeah, they're CVDs are junk too. I have a pair sitting here that have never been used because the ball is broken off the end of the shaft. Came straight from China that way, and they won't reply to emails. Cheap crap. Get the SDI units. They won't fail ya.

Does SDI make a CVD we can use in the axle?
