| KOH type event
would any one be interested in something like this? After getting back into the hobby recently I am more interested in this type compared to just trail running. I think it would be great to get some trucks together for a mini king of hammers this spring/summer. I am building a 2.2 and a 1.9 so either class would work for me. So what do you guys think?

If it was purely for fun, ide be in. I had been thinking of something along these lines to do at the fun park once we get it going.

Yea I was thinking of just for fun. Taking pan car racing and also short course racing to seriously is what got me out of the hobby a few years ago.

that's why I want to get this park going . cover short course ,buggy ,crawler all for fun. no comp bs. I used to race pan cars back in the late 90's. It wasn't so fun after a while.

We do one of these in Massachusetts in the Fall every year. It is always a blast. If it's not to far north i would try to make it.

Side note - I just bought a summit 2 speed transmission for my wraith. It would do 15mph with the axial transmission and deep 60/11 gearing. I'm eager to see what the 2 speed will do. I can't wait for some koh racing this spring.

i know this is gonna sound newbish...what does KOH exactly consist of? I looked on youtube and got a lot of different things. Is this a multiple challenge kind of thing? Kind of like top truck challenge? Thats what i was thinking it was but not sure. Ide really like to do something like that.

So basically we need to build the rock crawler section up and then layout a track that goes in and out of the rock section and out into open area with jumps.

oh ..ok totally not what I was thinking. I was thinking of a top truck challenge. None of my tucks would be good for koh..too slow. I got a tf1 with a 2 speed but I don't think it would work for it.

A stock Vaterra Twin Hammer is designed as a KOH rig, granted lots of mods would be needed to really beat one. I'd run my Telluride in a KOH event, its not a crawler but what a beating it'll take |

A friend of mine ran my modded twin hammers at our last KoH. It did pretty well till he broke the steering (which was stock). I ran my 2.2P comp rig this past year. Two years ago I ran a custom built 1:8th scale Cruggy (crawler buggy). Here are some links to our past events if you guys are curious. Check out the 2011 link for photos of the cruggy. 2013 King of the Coast 2012 King of the Crawlers 2011 Heartbreak Hammers 2010 King of the Quarry |
