|  what i did with a crawler today
just made it to the top of megunticook mtn! started at maidens cliff parking lot at 8:30am, at the top just before 1pm. three batteries and two motors to get here.

Hope it's ok to hijack this thread. Didn't want to clutter the board. Its been a while since I took my trucks out behind my apartment to this steam. Figured a nice fall day would be a good chance to test out some changed I made to my truck. Weighted tires help with the COG. It's better, but still more a trail truck than crawler. Cutting and or siping will make most any tire perform better, you will lose a little scale but its all give and take!

For the particular tire you see in the above post, the tread is close together and gets packed on certain terrain. This causes the tread to become nearly inneffective . increasing the gaps between the treads allows the tire to flex more and also keeps the tire tread from packing.
