Also are you guys buying the kit or just running the axles bought separately.
I have the revised kit. Other than twisting a couple drive shafts there haven't been any major issues.

Very odd. I'm thinking the revised kits takes care of this issue.
Sucks about the customer service...maybe at some point they'll get a satellite operation in north america. If they had customer service anywhere near Traxxas or Castle they'd be in good shape.

I've placed 6-7 large orders through Asia Tees and had a couple issues...shipping damage on antenna for TF2 and small defect on Boom Racing wheels and they did make it right after a few emails. I placed a couple orders after and won't hesitate to place another. Prices and coupons are solid and customer service not to level of some others, but i've found it not to the point where i won't make another purchase.

This is one of the best trucks I have, it will climb almost over anything.

I thought I would update this thread. After 3 weeks my replacement years arrived. I also found that one of the bearings in the portal was shot. So, I replaced the faulty bearing, installed the Samix portal covers and slathered each portal with a ton of marine grease. After about 20 3S packs I can report no problems. I have not however, hopped the backend trying to get over things and have been somewhat gentle on the rig. I am wondering if the bearing failure was the real cause of the problem. In any event, it seemed to be a fluke and not I have a set of AR60 axles for the NEXT project ready to go. Still need to build out my interior and manage the wiring though.

Update. After about 8 packs the portal blew up again. I’m done with these axles. There are other portals available and/or I could use AR60s for a bulletproof setup.

I picked up a Trx-4 and have made it brushless and its my go-to rug for portal action.

Anyhow I’m not sure what I’m going to do. This is a design flaw.

Pics of the beast below. Never did build the interior and had a few other things to fix. I was messing with different springs on the front suspension tonight when the rear portal blew up again. And yes, the lights are controllable from my transmitter.

Yes, I weathered everything as well.

Sad to hear this...
How heavy is your Mog rig?
I've made a good number of 3s packs through my Cfx-w, on various terrains (also some crawling on seashore rocks) and everything is good, but mine is a very light lexan bodied CJ that's 5.5 pounds only.
I think these axles have a very low weight limitation more than a design flaw..
