SMT10 body reference guide Since I have a few bodies laying around, I figured why not give a look into how different bodies fit on the new SMT10. Feel free to add your own! Old tmaxx sized proline suburban http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...a571b61672.jpg F150 sized for the tmaxx by proline http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...98c999fff8.jpg HPI mini trophy http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...6f0d9e13b5.jpg HPI MX1 (almost a bit too small) http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...f0835fc5b8.jpg Proline raptor http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...af0698c96a.jpg Axial scx10 body http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...de108907f9.jpg And the one I'm currently mounting up and painting, proline yeti/raptor http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...57ee5277dc.jpg |
Re: SMT10 body reference guide Right choice !!! |
Re: SMT10 body reference guide Hope you don't mind me adding to your thread. Proline Early 50s Chevy (narrowed for my old mega truck). This would actully fit okay but you would have to cut out the back window area to move the body up more. I may try this with a new non-narrowed body, and get some Midnight Pumpkin decals (old school cool): http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/h...ps0z2tt0qx.jpg My Parma 57 Chevy body. This works, just swap rear body posts. It's pretty cool: http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/h...psawcqk8co.jpg Yeti: http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/h...psfpuzrlri.jpg And my old HPI Scion from my old P4de. Looks so dumb: http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/h...psbgod4go3.jpg Forgive the table pics, my workshop in in the process of a make-over... |
Re: SMT10 body reference guide Thanks for this... I like the suburban and the 57 chevy... the Raptor/Yeti I will have to see when it's painted... looks like it might be pretty cool |
Re: SMT10 body reference guide Thanks for adding! |

Re: SMT10 body reference guide That looks killer, how did you mount the body in the rear? Curious to see how you did it. There are a few options, not sure which way will be most durable. |

In fact, if you don't mind figuring out how to rotate the posts 90 degrees so you could deal with the slope, you can use the stock mount too. |

Re: SMT10 body reference guide Anyone know if the ProlineL Ford 2008 F-250 Crew Cab body will need to be opened up in the rear of the cabin for the tubes of the chassi? I'm thinking that, since it's a crew cab it might be long enough to house the tubes without cutting. |
Re: SMT10 body reference guide I just mounted a proline jeep cherokee body on it and with trimming on the bumpers it will clear ill post pics later |
