Default Monster Truck course/obstacles/ramps/jumps......

I recently assembled my scx10 based monster truck and im looking for suggestions for obstacles, ramps, etc. I plan on making a couple plywood ramps, but id love to see what you all have come up with.

It would be awesome if I could come up with a mini traveling course. That way I could set it up at crawler events and spread the MT love.

Here's a natural obstacle I won't be moving.

you can get a set of landwave ramps from target cheaper than one ramp i picked up two sets.

Target : Expect More. Pay Less.

I sure miss being able to walk into a Walmart and find those plastic nascar's that are approx. 1/10th scale. Had 3 of them at one point plus a bus. Duct tape could only keep them alive for so long.

Might wanna look at your local flea markets or apps on your smartphone (offerup, 5 mile, let go) and see if anyone is selling those bmx/skateboarding ramps.

A lot of my old ramps were made of wood or we would just build dirt mounds in the driveway and clean up afterwards.

Im going to "attempt" some crush cars. I had an idea, don't know if it'll work.

Lexan sedan body.

Line with foil or wax paper.

Spray with spray foam.

Peel the wax paper from the body.

If it works, you can use the same lexan body over again. Trim the spray foam flat. Then just spray paint the foam. It would be a way to have a stack of cars to crush.

Or it'll be a waste of money and fail. I need to get an old lexan body and at least try it.

I'd spray a release agent in it, like Pam or wd40, make a cover for it, then spray it in and let it set. Any voids in the mold will just add to it already being crushed.

Is it possible to put a lexan body in a warm oven for a few minutes to soften it, push the roof in like a crushed car, and then have it become rigid again once it cools?

I'm going to be shocked if we don't see companies releasing crushed cars by Christmas.

They do, the local race club has a ton of them, will have to see where they get them.

Team Blue Groove on EBay.

It's a bit big. But for $20! I couldn't pass it up.

That's not a bad price. The only problem with jumps like that is it's a straight ramp. You want one with a lip for some "pop" to get air under the truck IMO.
