Default johnnyluv's Axial SMT10 Grave Digger build up

This happened! Last Friday morning, I started thinking about the Halloween season coming up, and remembered some RC-related photo/video ideas I had had in the past, but never followed up on. I was going to decorate my green accented Slash 2WD, but realized I also had plans for a custom FLM 1/8 Stampede 2WD, using the Axial Grave Digger body. It was a good idea, but the 2WD just wouldn't fulfill my vision, so I hopped on eBay and found this SMT10 pre-roller, which happened to be the last one available (with the AR60 axles included!). It was just right, because I already had sufficient components to make a complete truck. Of course, as the day wore on, I spent more time researching, refreshing my knowledge of what the platform needed for handling brushless power, then placed an order for some hop-ups.

I came close to getting a new SMT10 RTR, back in October 2016, but the price was too high, and I didn't need all the excess parts. Now that it's been out awhile, chop shops are able to provide this valuable service!

This is my parts list, currently:

Body/Chassis:
● Axial Grave Digger body
● Wheels/Tires: BKT 2.2's to begin with
● Boom Racing AX10/SCX10 aluminum transmission case (silver) + steel gears
● MIP CVD drive shafts
● Under drive HD diff gears fr/rr
● Beef tubes fr/rr
● Incision Yeti 1/4 Stainless Steel Rear Upper Suspension Link Kit (x2)
● SSD RC Trailing Arms for SMT10 / RR10 Bomber / Yeti (Silver) (x2)
● 120mm aluminum internal spring shocks (silver) (Integy MSR10-style)

Electronics:
● ESC: HK-100A
● Motor: Turnigy XK-3650 3900KV 4-pole
● Servo: Holmes HV400 (taking off my Wraith)
● Lights: TRA3686 (red headlights) + other accents and ground lighting

Looking forward to this! Parts are going to take awhile to trickle in, so it's looking like it'll be September before I can even start on it.

Finally got my pre-roller chassis! Most of my other parts have already come in, also, with the exception of a silver aluminum transmission gearbox and a TeamKnK stainless steel hardware pack, ordered just yesterday. However, since I have some other RC to-do's that need attention, I put it all neatly into a box, until the time is right (Grave Digger body is in a separate box). The plan is to start next month, but I also have to consider that in 5-6 weeks, my wife is due to deliver a baby girl, so things could get hectic as we get closer to that time (this is child #3, so nothing new here). That's life!
