Re: CEN RC Monster Truck Series...thoughts? I got one. I went for the HL150. First impressions: Way too stiff sprung and dampened. Took out 1 spring on every corner. Quite the improvement. Now for some thinner oil. For the rest of it, it makes a rather solid impression. Comes with swaybars that You’ll have to assemble yourself. Tires are not too bad, but, as expected, more geared towards low wear, than grip. Kind of a good thing, because with the stock, super hard, spring and damper setting it lòves to take corners on 2 wheels, so hard tires make it possible to ‘slide’ for a bit before going full turtle-up.. Size is a tad bigger than a long wheelbase Wheely King. Somewhat heavier, though. Metal gears and a fat 550 ‘ll do that. Pretty fast with the included 15t ( ? ) 550 even without swapping the gears around to increase speed. Steering is a bit wobbly with all the linkages going-on. ( like the WK) The best thing? No rattling ‘clutch’ like the WK, but a proper slipper. All in all a pretty solid offering I’d say. Apart from fiddling around with the shocks, there’s not much needed to get it up and running satisfactory. |
Re: CEN RC Monster Truck Series...thoughts? Sounds great... Especially the bit about getting some slidin' on. Post some pics! |
Re: CEN RC Monster Truck Series...thoughts? Sounds like a solid rig....now I'd like to see them hit shelves. Parts support is what I'm afraid of. The release doesn't seem to be widespread as I was led to believe Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk |
Re: CEN RC Monster Truck Series...thoughts? It’s distributed via Robitronic overhere in the EU. They usually keep a good stock of parts for the cars and accessories they sell. No idea how it will go for the US, though. |
Re: CEN RC Monster Truck Series...thoughts? I really like how they implemented the steering with the servo back in the middle of the chassis. |

Re: CEN RC Monster Truck Series...thoughts? How hard would it be to extemd the wheel base? The swb is about the only thing I dont like about these. |

Re: CEN RC Monster Truck Series...thoughts? I made it to the LHS today and saw one. Its smaller over all then I had hoped for and I think I'll just build up my SCX10ii into an MT until the new SMT10 comes out. |
