A friend of mine bought one of these after he saw my trail trekker so we have had a chance to compare the two. His son has been playing with it mostly and nothing has broken so far so that's saying something. The things that I have noticed that I would say are negatives are small tires, its really really slow and not much wheel speed or torque to help get over some objects with loose dirt/sand. Out of the box there is no battery pack and you have to use AA's in the truck. Also the frame is made out of some thin material but it is metal. The different options with the steering is pretty sweet though. If I find something else ill post it.

small tires? they are about the same size as the losi micro. as far as the chassis plates the losi micro also uses a TVP chassis ( twin vertical plate) its pretty standard for rock crawler RCs there redcat sumo is slowly getting popular, if you do some searching in this subforum and the losi micro you will see a few opinions and builds with them. there is also my losi / redcat compatibility thread but I need to relink the photobucket pictures. ill get to that when Im not feeling sick Redcat Sumo micro crawler (RSMC) parts breakdown and losi compatibility |
