Default Micro wheelin' in the backyard...

Daylight is gettin' short around here. I've been haulin' some rocks into the backyard here and there so I don't have to drive as far for a crawlin' fix.

This 4x4 enclosure was put in before I got here, for a small garden or something. Might as well put it to some good use, right?

Workin' it Micro style...

Thanks. That's my micro version of my daily driver 95 RRC (just w/o the rust and dents)

The low spot in the middle will be the mud pit at some point. I need to line it w/ plastic or something, it won't hold water now it just soaks into the ground.

It needs more rock first. Like twice as much as it has now...

I used the model kit chassis and floorpan, with the bottom half of the stock chassis screwed to it as a subframe.

I have a pic somewhere that shows it, it's not in this computer though. I'll look for it.

The backyard course is about twice as big now, I need some new pics of it as well...

Hey Big Mike, What is the name of the color on your Range Rover? The model, not the 1:1

thanks y'all - do you happen to have any 1:20th scale bodies?

After being snowed in for a month, the backyard course is thawed out again...

The new Trail Trekker and a bit of nice weather (that is now gone ) inspired me to haul in some more rocks:

Now it's getting filled in. Lots of different lines now. 2 or 3 more buckets of small rocks and a few big ones scattered in should fill it up entirely.

I wish I owned this place, I'd haul in a truckload of rocks and set up half of the entire backyard like this for 1:10th scale trucks. And have less grass to mow...

Very cool course man, I'm jealous. I've still got at least a foot and a half of snow to melt yet .

Right out of the box the Trekker is a much stronger performer than the first gen. Micro. It's obviously longer, and a bit wider, makes it a lot easier to keep the rubber side down. I've been putting pack after pack through it basically in stock form, and it hasn't made me want to modify it yet. All I've done is lower the body and trimmed out the fenderwells, and pulled the foams and weighted the wheels. Other than that it's untouched, and it slays the backyard course.

I recommend it, it's a lot of fun for 150 bucks...

That is a great playground. The jagged rock pile you have there looks awesome.

Most of the rock we have in our landscaping is flat flagstone. it is a nice long path but it needs some height. Our neighbor has some river rock. It would be nothing for 1/10th but it is to slick for the stock tires on the trekker. The drivable lines for the trekker are pretty short.
