Default mOOsE Proline Ambush 1/24

Just received the new Proline Ambush
Excellent job on prolines' part, truck looks excellent

I didn't even run it stock before tinkering, but onto the images. Since it is mostly out of the box, I took some comparison shots next to the losi

It's a bit longer, and definitely taller than the micro crawler.

I have no stock suspension shots, but it was essentially half the articulation you see below. The leafs are cool, but they will limit things a lot (which is fine for scale too )
I removed the 2 smaller leafs on each corner, and also removed the springs that are inside the shocks. Those can be removed without taking anything apart.

Those micro flat iron tires look like a good size- between regular tires and miclaws/scramblers maybe?
Thanks for the comparison shots, looks good!

I just hit F5 to refresh and they were nice and large, but not too big anymore.

What's new M00se?

Next on the list is an FJ Cruiser body, stick on weights, and the build of an indoor course. I hate to say it, but I may convert the Ambush to using coil-overs instead of leafs. They are cool for scale, but I sort of want a bit more articulation. We'll see though.

Cool, but I love the scale look of leaf springs and flex is over-rated.

Couple new pics. Still working on mounting, but have many other projects going on too, so it's slow

Nice Cruiser body. I did change my suspension also, went for single leaf with springs. I guess it is the same amount of travel you have.

FYI on the body as well, it will require a lot of dremel work... but that's nothing new for many folks on the micro scale sub ;)

I believe it's the officially licensed Toyota RC that dealers had. Picked mine up for under 10 bucks off ebay.

Do you mean with dremel work, dremel work on the body or chassis? I hope you mean the body.

Body. Haven't altered the chassis. Although it's barely short enough to fit under the FJ.
