My 1:18 RC4WD Gelande 11 with Maisto Jeep Wrangler body. |
Re: My 1:18 RC4WD Gelande 11 with Maisto Jeep Wrangler body. That looks good! How well does it handle with the die-cast body? |
Re: My 1:18 RC4WD Gelande 11 with Maisto Jeep Wrangler body. Tbh I have not ran it yet. I think it will be a bit top heavy |
Re: My 1:18 RC4WD Gelande 11 with Maisto Jeep Wrangler body. That's my concern. However, I'd be curious to see a running video. I've been interested in putting one of those bodies on mine. If it isn't to top heavy, it might make a nice scale trail rig. |
Re: My 1:18 RC4WD Gelande 11 with Maisto Jeep Wrangler body. That looks fantastic. Where did you pick up the donor jeep? |

Re: My 1:18 RC4WD Gelande 11 with Maisto Jeep Wrangler body. How was it to mount to chassis? |
Re: My 1:18 RC4WD Gelande 11 with Maisto Jeep Wrangler body. with the metal chassis and axles to balance it out it might not be too bad - overall weight isn't going to help the stock motor setup though. It looks fookin marvelous though mate, great job. "thumbsup" |

Re: My 1:18 RC4WD Gelande 11 with Maisto Jeep Wrangler body. Looking good! "thumbsup" I just ordered one of these jeeps off the 'bay. So I'll definitely be stealing some ideas, if you don't mind. |
Re: My 1:18 RC4WD Gelande 11 with Maisto Jeep Wrangler body. Re: My 1:18 RC4WD Gelande 11 with Maisto Jeep Wrangler body. I am in the process of copying Sparks1337 motor conversion. Using a 180 motor. He was very kind to sell me his spare parts for me to make it. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...d94cba5930.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...d058b7bc77.jpg Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk |
Re: My 1:18 RC4WD Gelande 11 with Maisto Jeep Wrangler body. Ordered a G2-18th off RPP today, maybe it'll make it here Friday. I couldnt resist, my SCX has bearing on the way and the G2 qualifies for free shipping and "DC20" coupon code; I chose to get Baja claws, so my total is $195 shipped for it with a spare set of tires. I will be watching your progress and mods. In regards to the heavy body; From videos it looks like more weight will help it; it appears that the suspension is too stiff, but again, I haven't received mine yet to really judge. Yours look great with that body! In comparison to the dirt grabbers, how well do the baja claws work in soft sand/dirt? |

Re: My 1:18 RC4WD Gelande 11 with Maisto Jeep Wrangler body. New motor fitted and it is 200% better. I am not liking the controller so I am going to get a micro esc and used my spectrum tx. Space is limited so I cut the rear floor and seat out. Covered it with scale chequer plate, this gives me space to mount the electrics.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...dc3d7f6c65.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...1dc82840f7.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...aa458aac36.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...a7e88294aa.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...e8d0fca419.jpg Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk |
