Mine rocked up. What a quick build! Servo is absolute trash. Esc and better servo should be here by Tuesday. The body looks amazing for the price.

Popped a servo in with an 10a esc. Ran it with a 7.2v pack. On the back... Its real funny! Will get an 4.8v pack sometime.

I actually feel half bad putting a rx in there, lol.

Rear drive shaft slipping already... Other than that it runs cool and seems like it would be fun in the forest. Will ca that shaft a bit to see if it helps. I wont spend anymore money on it though.

It looks good, still.

Made a plan for a 6v pack. The 2100mah actually gives quite a bit of drive time. The rear bounces like crazy when hammering the throttle. Had ist on some sand trails while at a shoot in the week and its actually not that bad as long as the obstacles aren’t bigger than its scale.
Ca’d the shafts and its good for now.
Fun, good looking toy this.

I bought one of these trucks. I want to change out the axles for something a bit more substantial. I have a Maxstone 1/16 crawler as a donor.

I am wondering what there is for a chassis for this small wheelbase? I figure about 8-9 inch wheelbase for the truck. I am not familiar with 1/16 or 1/24 scale. I have used the Google machine, but haven't found anything that I liked.

I am looking for a metal chassis that is not just a straight c-frame. The tranny from the Maxstone needs to sit lower than the body. Only really need the framerails. I can 3d print most anything I need aside from that. Even considered 3d printing the frame itself, but wanted to check here first.

No chassis is readily available that will suit your needs. 3D printing one would likely be best route. I would think an upright/conventional tranny would have to be fitted up through the bed of it. I ran a 1:10 transfercase on the WPL C14 and it worked out decent. If you did that you could put the tranny forward and in the cab to hide it better.

Has anyone looked at the axles from the RC4WD 1/18th Gelante? I bought a pair sometime back to build a mini truck, but haven't got to it yet. I really like the looks of this body and I have some micro electronics if the axles fit I'd go for it.

Those 1/18 axles are too narrow.

I think they’re trying to move old stock out for possibly a new release of some sort.
