| Well I killed our SCX24 ESC
Son 3D printed some parts to move the battery to the front of the chassis on our SCX24. I was helping him with it and was looking for options to move the ESC. I was plugging everything back up and grabbed the battery lead which I thought was the motor lead and plugged it into the motor spot on the ESC. Turns out that will let the magic smoke out of the ESC. Everything works just no forward control. My son was NOT happy about that. Guess I'm off to buy a new ESC.

that sucks. I have seen from other threads, that warranty parts are impossible to get right now, as China is shutdown

I had no idea any sensored motors even existed in sizes smaller than 540! I've often wondered why there's nobody making sensored 390s, nevermind the tiny stuff.

I'm just wondering if anybody ended up fitting the upgraded motor and ESC in the end... I've just blown my ESC 🙄 I was messing about while waiting for my new motor to turn up after it burnt out and yes I plugged the battery straight into the motor port on the ESC and blew it 🤦*♂️ ... I'm wondering if it's an easy enough installation with the shapeways mount and if it works ok with the AX-4 (standard scx24) receiver

CHeck the hidden notes: "NOTE: Will require motor plate drilling AND MODIFICATION to mount, using the shapeways mount plate helps on the installation. Uses a 2MM pinion (soon be available in our store), you can reuse your stock pinion gear as motor shaft is a same 2mm size. (NOTE: The SCX is a 1.5MM pinion. Not a 2MM pinion.) A much stronger powerful setup , sensored so great low speed control for crawling. Rare to have a sensored feature for motors this small." If it was me, I would just get a cheap 15-20amp ESC with reverse. The portal axles will still get it decent control. Last edited by BIGW0RM; 04-12-2020 at 02:14 PM.

https://www.ebay.com/i/283640011391?...SABEgL78_D_BwE Which is also 2MM pinion shaft. ANd does not mate to the stock motor mount. I tried. The tranny is in the way for it to sit flush. So I still dont think this is a mate up and go solution. But mine is technically a different motor on 2nd look. But the notes about needing a motor mount and different pinion seem to confirm its no different. Last edited by BIGW0RM; 04-13-2020 at 11:29 AM.

Do you guys think a Panda Tetra 1/18 Scale ESC/Receiver will bind to the Axial transmitter?
